Preliminary findings from 2023 SITA Passenger IT Insights research, revealed anxiousness round flight cancellations was cited by 32% of passengers when reserving their subsequent flight. Lavorel highlighted that earlier analysis from SITA indicated that airport and airline CIOs had been taking this significantly by pushing digital transformation. The trade’s IT spend is projected to proceed its regular year-on-year development pattern since 2020 to assist digitalization and automation. Last 12 months, airline and airport IT spending rose to an estimated US$37 billion and US$6.8 billion, respectively.
